Salvation Army Gateway of Hope: Langley Community Prosperity Grant Recipient
The Langley Foundation is pleased to announce that the Salvation Army Gateway of Hope has received the Langley Community Prosperity Fund Grant.
The Gateway of Hope is a ministry of The Salvation Army of Canada. Serving the City and Township of Langley, the mission is to help the homeless and those at risk, to help with find hope and move forward. They bring a dignified, person centred, holistic approach to meeting every individual with respect and without judgement or discrimination.
They have assisted many men and women to move out of homelessness into healthy living. Beside Emergency Shelter, Gateway of Hope offers the Opportunities Program which is an abstinence-based program for 25 male adults. Residents accepted into the program may stay up to 2 years and are part of community living moving towards substance abuse freedom. Other services also include a community kitchen, legal referral, clothing assistance, transition homes, etc.
This grant will continue to support these important services in Langley.
