PROJECT: Memory Grove

Memory Grove

The Memory Grove is part of an Arbour Trails initiative with objectives like an arboretum by recognizing and growing a diverse range of both native and non-native tree species. Situated by the Salmon River in Fort Langley, the Memory Grove will create an eco-friendly area for families to enjoy.

The project was inspired by the legacy left nearly a century ago by Dr. Benjamin Marr, who planted trees in front of the Marr House and the Fort Langley Cemetery on Glover Road, that have grown to form a towering canopy over the road. To celebrate the Langley Township’s 150th anniversary, 150 trees will be planted in the Memory Grove.

Naming opportunities, to honour or in memory of loved ones, will be available.
