John has a long and distinguished career as a dedicated member of the community. Serving as a Township Councillor for 7 years, John was elected as Mayor in 1993 and served in that role until 1999. During his municipal tenure, John also served on a number of GVRD and FVRD committees and boards.

Since leaving local government in 1999, John has continued to share his knowledge and experience as a board member for a number of different organizations.
