PROJECT: Sperling Trail
Sperling Trail
Creating and preserving green space in Langley is essential to supporting a healthy, connected, and growing community. Spaces like these provide opportunities for recreation, reflection, and connection, enhancing quality of life for residents of all ages.
The Sperling Trail, located on 72nd Avenue across from the Thunderbird Equestrian Centre, is an important part of this vision. Designed as a multi-use pathway, the trail is accessible for both people and horses, making it a unique and valuable asset for walkers, runners, and members of Langley’s equestrian community alike.
Looking ahead, the next phase of this project will extend the trail north to connect with Ponder Park. This connection will create a more integrated trail system, allowing for longer routes, improved accessibility, and greater opportunities for residents, riders, and visitors to explore the area.
This project reflects The Langley Foundation’s ongoing commitment to building and enhancing green spaces that bring people together, support active lifestyles, and celebrate the diverse ways our community enjoys the outdoors.
