Langley Meals on Wheels: Langley Community Prosperity Grant Recipient
The Langley Foundation is proud to have been selected to administer the Community Prosperity Fund for Langley based non-profits. The CPF was a $25 million investment from the Government of B.C. that advances poverty reduction and social inclusion. We received funding requests from thirty-three nonprofit organizations in Langley with funding requests for just over $5.3 million, however had only $695,000 to grant.
We are pleased to announce, Langley Meals on Wheels received the Langley Community Prosperity Fund Grant. In partnership with Applewood Kia, and this grant, Meals on Wheels were able to purchase a van for their organization.
Executive Director, Shannon Woykin recently said, “your support in this process means a lot to us and will greatly help in expanding our Meals on Wheels program to better serve the community.”
At Langley Meals on Wheels, our mission is simple yet powerful: to ensure that everyone in our community is fed, connected, and supported. We provide nutritious meals to those in need, offering not just food, but a lifeline of support and companionship.
