Langley Food Bank: Langley Community Prosperity Grant Recipient

The Langley Food Bank

The Langley Foundation is pleased to announce that The Langley Food Bank has received the Langley Community Prosperity Fund Grant.

The Langley Food Bank helps our community who face hardship when finances become very slim. Many of their clients have said that the Langley Food Bank has helped when they had the choice of paying hydro or eating a meal. Some have been so thankful as they have shared the spirit of dignity.

Volunteers are the heart of the Langley Food Bank. More than 40 volunteers share their time and skills to help others every day. The Langley Food Bank serves just over 800 families with1150 people weekly. Without this assistance, many would be struggling. The Langley Food Bank objective is to provide a minimum of 2 days' worth of nutritious food (breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks) for their clients and their families each week. They develop relational bridges with clients to discover other needs they may have and find ways to meet these.

This grant will continue to support these important services in Langley.
