Langley Foundation launches new fundraising campaign to make a great community even better

If you love living in Langley, the Langley Foundation wants to hear from you.

Established just three years ago, the foundation is already making big things happen in the community, notes Inga Warnock, Director of Planned Giving

Dedicated to making a lasting difference in both the city and township of Langley, the registered charity connects individuals, non-profits and other organizations with noteworthy causes, all to make the community a stronger and more caring place to live.

"We're committed to making Langley even better, and when you support your community foundation, all the money received stays right here in the community," Warnock notes.

Coming together to make a great community even better

Believing that the community is stronger when people work together, The Langley Foundations projects have ranged from tree planting to enhance local parks and trails, to community partnerships with organizations like Rotary and local businesses. One recent success story saw the foundation and Applewood Kia Langley team up to provide a much-needed van to Meals on Wheels.

The foundation’s latest initiative – I Love Langley – aims to bring everyone together in their shared appreciation for where they live: families who want children to grow up in a thriving, connected community, neighbours who want to give back, and business and community leaders who want to create lasting impact.

"We're so fortunate to live in this amazing place, and working together, we can make it even better," Warnock says.

The three strategic focus areas for The Langley Foundation are:

  • Parks, Trees and Trails

  • Infrastructure – working with Charities in Langley

  • Arts, Heritage and Culture

Currently, fundraising is largely undertaken by project, and all donations are tax deductible – easy and convenient through their secure donation page. From one-time donations of all sizes to recurring monthly contributions, all are welcome. You can even specify where you'd like your donation to go.

"In establishing the foundation in Langley, we wanted to ensure that if people wanted to donate to their community, and to causes that matter to them, they had an opportunity to do so," Warnock says.
